Scholarship Award Winner

Congratulations!

We are please to announce that 8th grade student Joseph is the recipients of the Catholic Community Foundation's Christian Service Award.  The Catholic Community Foundation annually awards an $8000 scholarship ($2000 per year)  towards a Catholic high school tuition to students demonstrating Catholic values and a Christ-centered love for others through service to parish, school and commuity.  This is the 11th year that the Catholic Community Foundation has provided these scholarships, and the fifth time that a Christ the King student has received this honor.

143 students applied for the award, and 30 students from Catholic schools across the valley received this scholarship.  Applicants were required to submit an application, service records of volunteer time, an essay, and three reference letters.  All students with complete application were then interviewed by the Awards Committee.

The Catholic Community Foundation is a huge supporter of Catholic education, and in addition to the annual scholarship opportunity and an annual grant opportunity to Catholic schools, they also administer four endowments for our school and parish that will help ensure the future of our community for many years to come.  For information on how to contribute to one of our endowments, or more information on the Christian Service Award, please contact Mendy at 480-844-4462 or go online to www.ccfphx.org.
