Christ the King Catholic School is a parochial non-profit school located in the heart of the City of Mesa. The school first opened in 1964. Most families who have children at the school live in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The school’s current enrollment is approximately 225 students with one class per grade, ranging from kindergarten through eighth grade.  Christ the King's faculty includes:

                      - Nine classroom teachers
                      - Two teacher aides
                      - One physical education teacher
                      - One Spanish language teacher
                      - One coordinator of technology
                      - One computer  teacher
                      - One librarian
                      - School nurse

All staff report to the principal who is responsible for all aspects of the school. Support from the Mesa Public Schools provides a Title I teacher to work with students who need special tutoring in math and reading.  Together staff inspire academic excellence in students in a safe and nurturing environment.

Christ the King Catholic School has the honor of being recognized in the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix as a one of the top elementary school models for academic excellence, most notably for its student scores on national standardized tests, individual student accomplishments, teacher recognition awards and parent participation. We believe that this reputation is due in part to the dedication and experience of our teachers, the hard work of our students and the active involvement of the parents in their children’s lives. We also recognize that with the ever-evolving challenges society presents there is a need to continue to broaden the educational experiences of our students to empower them so that they will be able to more successfully meet the demands of a future society noticeably marked with increasing change, information growth, and evolving technologies. We are seeking to foster a learning community at Christ the King that reflects our stated philosophy of educating and equipping students with the life skills necessary to seek out opportunities and embrace the future.
